The Beginning: A Demon’s Arrival

During World War II, the Nazis attempt to summon dark forces to turn the tide of the war. Guided by the evil sorcerer Grigori Rasputin, they open a portal to unleash unimaginable power. However, the Allied forces disrupt the ritual, and Rasputin is seemingly killed.

From the portal emerges a red-skinned, horned infant with a massive stone hand. Professor Trevor Bruttenholm, a kind-hearted scientist, takes the creature under his care, naming him Hellboy. Raised by Professor Bruttenholm, Hellboy grows up to be a quirky yet powerful figure, working for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.), an organization dedicated to protecting the world from supernatural threats.

The Rising Threat

Decades later, Rasputin resurfaces, resurrected by his loyal followers. He plans to complete his original mission: bringing the Ogdru Jahad, ancient dragon-like entities, into the world to destroy humanity. Rasputin believes Hellboy is the key to unlocking the apocalypse, as his stone hand, known as the Right Hand of Doom, can activate the portal to summon the Ogdru Jahad.

Hellboy, now an adult and a seasoned paranormal investigator, works alongside his B.P.R.D. team, including the aquatic empath Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman, a pyrokinetic woman struggling with her powers. Together, they are sent to investigate strange occurrences linked to Rasputin’s return.
